Who Are Our Therapists?

All therapists at Brenda are licensed, accredited, trained, experienced and vetted. We ensure that our therapists are thoroughly evaluated and meet the necessary healthcare requirements. They have all completed the necessary education, exams, and training and have been qualified and certified by their state’s professional board. Our therapists have a specific expertise and interest in couple’s therapy and are experienced in working with both couples or individuals.

Can I Go Back And Read My Therapist’s Previous Messages To Me?

Of course! You can do this from your profile under messaging. If you have multiple therapists, you will find each message thread under each therapist. Being able to go back over your messages in your own time and reflect further on the guidance you were provided is one of the main benefits of online therapy.

Is Online Couple’s Therapy Right For My Partner And I?

Couple’s counselling with Brenda is right for you if you are looking for ways to improve your relationship, better understand your partner, and enhance your communication skills. Even the happiest of relationships may need a little assistance at times. Having the right tools to navigate the ups and downs of a relationship can help you overcome any conflict or challenge, both new and deep-rooted, which may be holding you back from true happiness and growth. Couple’s counselling with Brenda is not right for you if:

  • You are in an emergency situation.
  • You are court ordered to undergo therapy.
  • You do not have Internet access.
  • You are a minor.

How Much Does It Cost?

At Brenda, we understand that everyone's needs and lifestyles are unique. That's why we offer three distinct packages to choose from, each tailored to suit your individual preferences and goals.

  1. The Weekly plan costs $99 and includes unlimited text messaging, plus a weekly online video session with your therapist.
  2. The Monthly plan costs $380 and includes 4 weekly online video sessions with your therapist plus unlimited text messaging between sessions.
  3. The Live Therapy Pass allows you to purchase as many sessions as you'd like, without any messaging included. We offer three different packages to fit your needs and budget:
    • 1 session - costs $119.
    • 5 sessions - costs $445.
    • 10 sessions - costs $790.
  4. The Messaging plan costs 59$ and includes online chat consultation with a therapist via chat messaging.

What If I Want To Stop My Subscription Or Change My Therapist?

You are able to cancel your subscription directly through your profile page. Under Billing Settings, go to Current Plans, and then click on the Cancel Auto Renewal button to cancel. Please note that cancelling your subscription will only apply to the next billing cycle. If you wish to change your therapist, you can do so at no extra cost. Feel free to reach out to us here and we will be glad to assist you.

Is Online Therapy Really Effective?

Yes! Online therapy is becoming increasingly popular, particularly as it cuts out commute time and is generally more affordable than in-person therapy. There are many studies which confirm the benefits of online therapy to be just as effective as traditional in-person therapy. A study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal found that online therapy was just as effective as face-to-face therapy, and in some cases, it was even more effective. Another study published in the Journal of Anxiety Disorders showed that online CBT therapy is an “effective, acceptable, and practical health care.”

Can I Stay Anonymous?

Absolutely! You can set your profile to anonymous from your profile page under Account Settings. Check the box which says “keep my identity anonymous” and fill in your nickname in the User Name field.

How Long Will It Take For My Therapist To Respond?

Your therapist will reply as soon as they can, but you can expect a response at least 3 times a day, 5 days a week.
